In addition to getting the clock working, he instructed me in the use of the 'moon' clock which I thought was just a decoration; told me how to adjust the pendulum if the clock is too fast or too slow, told me that I can move the hands forward or backward without damage, that the clock self-adjusts the chimes within a couple of hours if they're moved out of synch, that I should have it oiled annually, and gave me a lifetime warranty if I have preventive maintenance performed annually.
